How does buying wine and spirits from FINE+RARE work?

FINE+RARE offers unparalleled access to the world's finest wines and spirits. We manage the sourcing and logistics so you can simply buy from us. Some products are available for immediate delivery from our own stock, and some are sourced through our network of producers and merchants. We’ll always let you know the expected delivery window when you place your order.

What do the different availability dates mean?

Most of our list is available through our global network of producers and merchants. Items sourced on demand in this way have a lead-time of 10-12 weeks, as we consolidate imports, condition-check products and handle delivery logistics so that you don’t have to.
Often lead-times are considerably shorter and we’ll always let you know when you can expect your goods before you make a purchase. If you need a particular order quickly, contact us and we’ll do everything we can to help.
Other products – those in our warehouse – are available for immediate delivery, and will be shipped on payment.

Do you have a minimum order value?

Currently there is no minimum order value. Please note that this is subject to change.

Which payment methods do you accept?

We accept payment by Visa, MasterCard, American Express and by direct bank transfer. If you choose to pay by bank transfer, please include your invoice number in the payment reference.

How much does shipping cost?

Safe transit of fine wine and spirits is incredibly important. Every shipment is photographed so that you have complete confidence that everything arrives tamper-free and in original condition.

Our shipping fees are calculated per bottle, starting from €25 within Italy.
Shipping costs for your selected destination are shown during the check-out process on the website. Below is an indication of shipping costs per region.

Most of Europe (except Italy)
from €45 to €300 (for up to 48 bottles)

Rest of world
from €45 to €1,400 (for up to 48 bottles)

The shipment is insured up to a value of € 5,000, for higher amounts it is necessary to supplement with insurance of 1% of the total value.

Can I store my wine and spirits with FINE+RARE?

We operate warehouses globally, with a world-class bonded chamber facility at Tilbury Docks, United Kingdom, and climate- and humidity-controlled warehouses in Verona, Italy and Napa, California.

Storing wines in Italy:

It is now possible to store your wines with us at STI Verona. Your bottles will be placed in an account in your name, looked after by our team. You can visit the warehouse in person by appointment or arrange shipment whenever you like.

We offer a solution for tax-free, in bond storage in our warehouse in the UK at London City Bond.

Please note, for our bonded warehouse in the UK, we are no longer accepting duty paid wines for storage; you may still store duty paid spirits. Any duty paid wines received at our chamber without prior notice will be rejected and returned to the original sender

Is my collection insured while in storage?

Yes, all bottles stored with us are insured at their full replacement value.

Can I collect my goods directly from your warehouse?

Yes, we can arrange for direct collection from our warehouse in Bovolone, Italy. Please contact us before you place your order so that we can make the necessary arrangements.

Can I sell my wine and spirits to FINE+RARE?

We’re always happy to discuss purchasing private collections or lists from merchants, stores and restaurants. The bottles must be in excellent condition, have been properly stored, and be valuable.
After we’ve assessed your wines, we are able to sell them on your behalf.
